DALE EDWARD ADKINS ~ Class of 1967

Dale Edward Adkins was born to Leonard and Coralyn "Corkie" Adkins on July 4, 1949, and passed away in Wilseyville, CA on March 29, 2019, due to cancer.

He attended Marcus Whitman Elementary School, Jefferson Elementary School, Sacajawea Elementary School, Chief Jo Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1967 from Richland's Columbia High School.

Dale served in the U. S. Army from October 1968 to October 1971. He was stationed for one year in Southeast Asia (Thailand) where he received the Vietnam Service and Campaign medals.

He is preceded in death by his parents; both of his siblings, Margie Adkins Vierra and Steve Adkins (both '73 honorary); his wives, Linda and Diane; his step-son; his grandparents, Robert Dale and Mabel Bernice Street Adkins; his aunt, Sally Adkins; and his uncle, Jimmie Shipman ('51), who passed away February 22, 2011.

Dale is survived by his aunts and uncles: Roberta "Bert" Adkins Shipman ('52); Richard "Dick" Adkins ('56); John Adkins ('62) and Mary Adkins; cousins: Charles "Chuck" Shipman ('71), Jacki Shipman McKinney ('73), Deana Belle Shipman Groth ('77), Greg Shipman (not a Bomber), Marc Shipman (not a Bomber), Tony Adkins ('87) and Lori Adkins Thompson ('91).

NOTE:

His uncle, John Adkins ('62), passed away on April 4, 2021.

His aunt, Bert Adkins Shipman ('52), passed away on October 31, 2023.
