Written by Don for the 40-year Class Reunion in 2007:

Unfortunately, due to my father's work in construction, I spent my senior year in Everett and graduated from Cascade High School. We did move back to Richland, and I attended CBC for two years.

After successfully getting a medical deferment from the draft, I worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Pomeroy, WA for five years. Then I went to work for Bechtel Corp. in Arizona, New Mexico and Southern California. I returned to Richland after five years of these adventures and worked on the WPPSS project for a year before moving to Olympia to work on the WPPSS project at Satsop. I then spent two years with the City of Seattle when I had the opportunity to work on a nuclear reactor in Texas, so off I went to spend ten years. Again, I returned to the Northwest and settled in Vancouver, WA where I have worked for Clark County for 22 years. My job with Clark County currently is a Project Manager for county road improvement projects. I am also a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Washington. Don't add up all of the years listed, or I may be 100 years old.

After several tries over the years at wedded bliss, I have finally found it. My bride of two years, Jane, is truly my soul mate.

I have six and a half years until retirement, at which time Jane and I will be settling into our new home in Richland (Horn Rapids). We are starting construction on our home in Horn Rapids in February 2008. We will use it as our vacation home until we move there after retirement.

I have no children of my own, but one of my stepsons from a previous life provided me with a grandson and granddaughter who are a true joy.

My number one interest all these years is golf, ever since I played on the Bomber golf team in 1966. I also enjoy riding my cruiser style Honda VTX 1800R motorcycle. I used to complete in cowboy action shooting, but I didn't have time for everything, so I gave that up. Now it is just bikes, golf and traveling with my bride.
