Dean Stewart Bergam, age 48, of West Richland died April 19, 1998 in Spokane, WA.

He was born September 17, 1949 in Ontario, OR to Paul and Emily Bergam. He had lived in the Tri-City area for 45 years.

Dean attended Sacajawea Elementary School, Chief Jo Junior High School and was an honorary member of the Class of 1967 of Richland's Columbia High School before moving to Benton City.

Mr. Bergam was a financial consultant for MacTec and an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Dean is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters, Haley Morales, Kjirsti Bergam and Dana Bergam; sons, Evan Bergam and Sean Bergam; brothers, Paul Bergam and Brad Bergam; sisters, Paula Merritt ('60), Darvis Bobo ('57), Judy Bergam and Shawna Moore; and father, Paul Bergam.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ian Stewart Bergam (three years old), on July 7, 1989; and his mother, Emily Rose Bergam, on August 3, 1993.

Funeral services were held at 10AM on Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at the LDS Chapel on Bombing Range Road in West Richland. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland.

Dean was a loving father and husband. He will always be loved by his family.
