CRAIG LEE COWAN ~ Class of 1967

Craig Lee Cowan, 59, of Salem, OR departed this world on November 11, 2008. He was born in Richland on December 5, 1948.

He graduated with the Class of 1967 from Richland's Columbia High School.

Craig was generous to many with his time, volunteering for the State or just helping elderly folks with things around their homes. He always had an ear for anyone's problems and advice to those asking.

Though he struggled with his health most of his life, his sense of humor and outlook were very refreshing.

Craig enjoyed playing cribbage and working on his 1959 T-Bird.

He is survived by his wife, Jane of Salem; son, Shane (Doreen) of Corvallis; sister, Judy of Idaho; step-daughters: Katy, Jackie, and Jeannette of Oregon; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Donations in Craig Cowan's name can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Barrick Funeral Home in Salem, OR.
