Bob Flores - Recent

On New Year's Eve, 2013, after a heroic battle with cancer, Bob passed away. He was born March 11, 1948 in Denver, CO. As a boy he lived with his parents and sister on a ranch in La Grange, WY and later with his mother on a farm in Torrington, WY.

In 1963, Bob moved with his mother and sister to Richland, where he graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1967. After high school Bob showed unique promise as a junior trainee for Battelle. In a short time he advanced to Histology Technician and remained with Battelle in various assignments where he was commended for his dependability and quality of work. He retired after 35 years.

Bob will be remembered as a dedicated employee and devoted son and brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon Flores and Librada Cisneros Flores.

He is survived by his sister, Viola Kathryn Flores ('70); and many relatives in the Denver area as well as friends and co-workers in the Tri-Cities.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10am on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Christ the King Church in Richland. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland. A reception followed the interment at Bob's home, 371 Driftwood Court in Richland.
