Ann Hedges

Ann Marie Hedges, a lifelong Richland resident, passed away December 26, 2023, in Spokane while with family for the holidays.

She was born on January 7, 1949, to James and Theresa Hedges.

Ann attended Christ the King School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1967 from Richland's Columbia High School. She graduated from Columbia Basin College and Central Washington University.

She worked briefly as a teacher and several years with Energy Northwest.

Ann was a longtime member and had been a teacher at Christ the King Catholic Parish in Richland.

Faith, family and friends were central to her life. She loved animals, traveling, was exceptionally well read and had an encyclopedic memory for family history and events, and historical facts.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary ('74) and Helen ('76); brothers: Joseph ('77), James ('79) and Thomas ('81); brothers-in-law, Dan Sheldon and Rocky Kerr; nieces, Kathryn and Anna; nephews, James and John Kerr; and numerous cousins, one of whom is Bill Fleming ('66).

Memorial gifts can be made to a charity of choice.

A Memorial service will be scheduled in March at Christ The King Church in Richland.
