Maida sends tidbits about her life from her home in Nevada for the 40-year Class Reunion booklet in 2007:

"My husband's name is Ed. We have been married almost 30 years. We have two boys, ages 25 and 27. Both of them are still single and living in Southern California. I have been blessed!!

My parents and I stayed in Richland until I finished my freshman year at CBC. We moved to California in the summer of '68. I finished my undergraduate and graduate education in California.

I started my professional career as a Social Worker. Then, I switched to teaching elementary school and finally I became a School Psychologist. The latter was my most rewarding, as it not only involved evaluating children, but also counseling.

I retired one year ago in June '06 from a school district in Southern California, where I worked as a School Psychologist. My husband had already retired from Boeing (formerly Rockwell) four years prior.

My special interests are playing Mah Jongg, practicing Tai Chi, doing bead weaving and knitting. I also volunteer one day per week at a horse rescue ranch.

Besides living in Washington, we resided in Nevada, California and Australia. Since we lived in Australia for five years, my family and I had the opportunity to travel considerably. We have been to Africa, the Middle East, Asia, South America, Eastern and Western Europe. I'm sorry I missed the 40-year Class Reunion. I wish I had been there."
