George Dunwoody "Woody" Kesel, 58, of Bentonville died July 23, 2008 in Bentonville, AR.

He was born August 17, 1949 in Richland to George P. Kesel and Martha L. Dunwoody Kesel.

Woody attended Christ the King School, Chief Jo Junior High School and was a member of the Class of 1967 at Richland's Columbia High School before moving to Tennessee where he graduated high school.

He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force on June 23, 1969 and was discharged March 21, 1972.

Woody's first wife was, Joy Stanfield Kesel ('71), who passed away January 31, 2006.

He married Laura Bell on October 22, 2007 in Bentonville.

Mr. Kesel was employed at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. as a Sr. Estimator.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Kesel, of the home; one son, George Kesel; three daughters: Lindsey Kesel, Holly Kesel and Carolyn Kesel; brother, Craig Kesel; and two sisters, Gale Kesel Oates and Lynn Kesel ('65).

Cremation arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St. Rogers, AR (downtown).
