Susan L. "Suzie"/"Sue Stull Monk, age 60, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at her home in Richland. Susan was born July 31, 1949 in Richland to Ron and Peggy Stull.

She attended Sacajawea Elementary Grade School, Chief Jo Junior High School and was an honorary member of the Class of 1967 at Richland's Columbia High School.

In 1968 she married Todd Gilmore Jr at the Richland Alliance Church. Susan lived in the Tri-Cities most of her life.

She is survived by her only daughter, Kristina Gilmore of Spokane; sisters: Peggy Stull Johnson ('64) of Cle Elum and Brenda Stull Draper ('71) (Don Draper ['70]) of Richland; and two brothers: Ronnie ('66 honorary) (Katie) Stull of Olympia, and Steve ('69) (Norma Corrado) Stull of Richland. Susan had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Susan was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ronald and Peggy Stull; maternal grandparents, Jesse and Ruth Kelly; and her great-uncle/aunt, Everett and Ethel Selman of Republic, WA.

The love of her life was her daughter, Kristina. Her passions were her cats, horses, fishing, container gardening, ceramics, floral arranging and taking long walks at Howard Amon Park. She enjoyed reading books, and for many years she had been a bible student with the Kingdom Hall. In her teens, she was featured in an article in the Tri-City Herald about how she saved her horse during a flood on the Yakima River.

Many of her family and friends gathered at 2pm on Saturday, January 16, 2009, near the boat dock on Lee Blvd. in Richland for one more walk in Susan's memory. At 3:00pm friends joined the family at the home of her sister, Brenda Stull Draper, at 1255 Chardonnay Drive in Richland.
