Jean TITLE=

Erma “Jean” Swanson Abrams, 71, went to be with our Heavenly Father on September 28, 2019 at her home in Grandview.

Known as "Jean", Erma was born on September 16, 1948 in Yakima to Helen Marie (Lane) Swanson and John Taylor Swanson of Iowa.

She graduated with the Class of 1967 from Richland's Columbia High School.

Jean married Roy Dell Wilcox of Yakima in 1970, and they divorced November 2, 1973. To this union two children were born, Kathy Jo and Kandy Jo.

Jean was known to many as “Nana” and loved spending her time playing bingo, going to church on Sundays and being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved being surrounded by her family.

She worked as a caregiver for several years, giving her heart and soul to her family and friends.

Jean is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Wes Abrams; her daughters, Kathy Jo and Kandy Jo; grandchildren, Brooke, Bobbie Jo, Justina, Keven and Kati; along with many great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews who all loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her five siblings, her ex-husband and her aunt. Her father passed away at the age of 67 on October 31, 1967. Her mother passed away at the age of 73 on February 10, 1979. Her brother, Richard Lee Swanson, passed away at the age of 47 on November 4, 1995. Her brother, Charles Wendell Swanson, passed away at the age of 75 on July 29, 2000. Her sister, Joan Fay Swanson, passed away at the age of 64 on December 25, 2005. Her sister, Marjorie May Swanson Durfey, passed away at the age of 85 on July 1, 2014. Her husband, Roy Wilcox, passed away December 13, 2016. Her aunt, Sherrie Swanson Supplee ('67), passed away March 25, 2017.

Services were under the direction of Prosser Funeral Home.
