MICHAEL ED "MIKE" WOOD ~ Class of 1967

Michael Wood was born in Richland on October 5, 1948, and passed away August 5, 2004, in McMinnville, OR, after a swift battle with cancer.

Mike grew up in Richland attending Carmichael Junior High School and graduating with the Class of 1967 from Columbia High School (aka Richland High School).

He served his country with the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Mary, of Willamina, OR; his mother, Margaret Wood of Richland; sisters: Chris Wood Blankenship ('68) and husband, Terry, of Richland and Janet Wood Asbridge ('72) and husband, Bob, of Vancouver, WA. He is also survived by his wife's, Mary's, children: Gordon Rogers of Willamina, OR, Greg Rogers of Spokane and Felicia Lasseigne of Spokane. Mike has four nephews and ten grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Ed Wood.

A service of Christian burial was held at 10AM on August 11, 2004, at the Methodist Church in Sheridan, OR.
